GLEN W. TROUT

Glen W. Trout, 83, passed away March 28, 2013, in Ottawa, Kan.

Memorial funeral services are planned for 10 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa. Burial is expected to follow at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kan. The family plans to meet with friends 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

He was born Jan. 15, 1930, in Ottawa, Kan., the son of Ruben and Sylvia Trout.

Glen attended Princeton High School, Princeton, Kan.

He worked for Holmes Freight Line until his retirement.

Glen enjoyed attending auctions. His favorite hobby was to refinish antiques and restore pieces to their original condition. Glen’s family is grateful for the many memories of his craftsmanship.

Glen was united in marriage to Wilma I. McKay May 21, 1950. They shared 62 years of marriage until Wilma passed away Sept. 27, 2012. Glen is also preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his daughter, Rodene and husband, Dan Morrison, Louisburg, Kan.; two sons, Rod Trout, Winfield, Kan., Rick Trout, Shawnee, Kan.; five grandchildren, Angie Mutti and husband, John, Parkville, Mo., Amie Flanagan and husband, Kevin, Kansas City, Mo., Jeremiah Trout, Winfield, Chad Trout, South Carolina, Valerie Barkley and husband, James, Ottawa; eight great-grandchildren, Braden Barkley, Ella Barkley, Emily Barkley, Hunter Mutti, Claire Flanagan, Darian Trout, Zoi Trout, Ariel Trout; and two sisters, Lena Mae Welch, Ottawa, and Nadine Hoffman, Springfield, Mo.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Wes Leonard Heart Team through Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory St., Ottawa KS 66067.
