Dorothy Rae Hollon, 68, Ottawa, Kan., passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at her home in Ottawa.

The family plans to welcome friends for a visitation service 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 24, 2014, at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.

Dorothy was born Feb. 2, 1946, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Albert Ray Sr. and Mary Jean (Ward) Fletcher.

Dorothy worked for Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in De Soto, Kan., and as the night manager at McDonald’s.

Dorothy also was active in a bowling league.

Dorothy was united in marriage with Jerry Lee Hollon July 6, 1964, in Miami, Okla. Jerry preceded her in death June 16, 2002.  

Dorothy also was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Ray Fletcher Sr. and Mary Jean Welch; a son, Shane Michael Hollon; and grandson, Michael Brown.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Lee Hollon II and wife, Roxann, Whitewater, Kan.; Steven William Hollon and wife, DJ, Ottawa, Kan.; Timothy Charles Hollon and wife, Lisa, Ottawa, Kan.; daughter, Kellie Cline, Topeka, Kan.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Shelly Bowen and husband, Joe, Ottawa, Kan.; three brothers, Noel Dale Fletcher, California, Ronald Lee Fletcher, California, and Albert Ray Fletcher Jr., Virginia; and half-brother, Brian Welch, Pomona, Kan.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Dorothy Hollon Memorial Fund through Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa KS 66067.
