TROY D. LEWIS

Troy D. Lewis, 44, Ottawa, Kan., died April 16, 2014, near Pomona, Kan.

Visitation for Troy is planned for 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa, Kan. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the Ottawa University Chapel.

He was born June 28, 1969, in Lakenheath, England, the son of Ben Lewis and Diane (Munro) Seymour.

Troy graduated from Marais des Cygnes Valley High School in 1987 and then attended Emporia State University and Ottawa University, where in played football, graduating in 1992.

Troy loved blues music, loved to tinker and was an avid K-State fan. Most important to Troy was that he dearly loved his children and was devoted to them. His priorities were his children and his fiancée. Troy was an avid football fan, a very friendly person with lots of friends, lots of projects and enjoyed fishing and loved to read.

He married Stacy Davis in 1993. They later divorced.

He married Billy Jo Sowers in 2004. They later divorced.  

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Ben Lewis; grandparents, Ian and Violet Munro; an uncle, Andrew Munro; and grandparents, George and Elizabeth Lewis.

Survivors include Rebecca Stropes, Mission, Kan.; mother and father, Diane and Greg Seymour, Ottawa; twin sister, Dee Dee Lewis Shaffer, Ottawa; sister, Sasha St. John and husband, Steve, Ottawa; brother, Chad Seymour and wife, Linda, Venice, Calif.; sister, Tish Seymour, Las Cruces, N.M.; brother, Dax Lewis and wife, Christian, Burlingame, Kan.; daughter, Shelby Lewis, Gardner, Kan.; son, Laken Lewis; daughter, Leni Lewis; and son, Landen Lewis, Auburn, Kan. Troy also was the beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews.
