Loren Dale Shofner, 65, Shawnee, Kan., passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at the Kansas City Hospice House.

Memorial services are planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at the Church of the Resurrection Wesley Chapel, 13720 Roe Ave., Leawood, Kan. Burial will be in Fort Leavenworth Cemetery.

Loren is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rae-Lynn Shofner; a daughter, Jamie Loos, and a son, Bret Shofner. He also is survived by two brothers, Gene Shofner Denver, and Gary Shofner, Topeka; and a sister Connie Shofner Ottawa, Kan.
