John Evan Lloyd, 56, Spring Hill, Kan., died Friday, June 14, 2013, at his residence in Spring Hill.

Graveside memorial services are planned for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kan. The family is set to meet with friends 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Inurnment is planned at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton.

He was born Friday, March 1, 1957, in Ottawa, Kan. He was the son of Evan and Dorothy (Dodd) Lloyd.

He has been a resident of Spring Hill since 1990, moving from Gardner, Kan.

John graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1975. Following his graduation, he attended Emporia State University.

He worked for J.C. Penney’s Catalog in Lenexa, Kan., for 31 years as a maintenance supervisor. For the past three years, he has worked as a self-employed private detective.

John was united in marriage with Lewanna Bell June 30, 1979, in Ottawa, Kan. She survives of their home.

Survivors include his wife, Lewanna Bell-Lloyd, of the home; daughter, Rhiannon Lloyd, Gardner, Kan.; son, Evan Lloyd, Wellsville, Kan.; and sister, Connie Womble and her husband, Ron, Pittsburg, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evan and Dorothy Lloyd; and sister, Linda Tesar.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association through Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa KS 66067.
