More than 4,450 undergraduate students at the University of Kansas earned honor roll distinction for the fall 2012 semester. The students, from KU’s Lawrence campus and the schools of Allied Health and Nursing in Kansas City, Kan., represent 97 of 105 Kansas counties, 41 other states and 39 other countries.

The honor roll comprises undergraduates who meet requirements in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and in the schools of allied health; architecture, design and planning; business; education; engineering; journalism; music; nursing; pharmacy; and social welfare.

The honor roll comprises undergraduates who meet requirements in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and in the schools of allied health; architecture, design and planning; business; education; engineering; journalism; music; nursing; pharmacy; and social welfare.

Honor roll criteria vary among the university’s academic units. Some schools honor the top 10 percent of students enrolled, some establish a minimum grade-point average, and others raise the minimum GPA for each year students are in school. Students must complete a minimum number of credit hours to be considered for the honor roll.

Area honorees are as follows:

• Kirstin Brown, of Garnett. She is the daugher of Jesse and Linda Brown of Garnett. She attended Anderson County High School. Brown is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Cynthia Brown, of Garnett. She is the daughter of James and Debra Brown of Garnett. She attended Anderson County High School. Brown is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Cheyenne Frohlich, of Garnett. She is the daughter of Vernelle Stockdall of Garnett. She attended Anderson County High School. Frohlich is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Education.

• Erin Kruse, of Garnett. She is the daughter of Tammy Serene-Kruse and David Kruse of Garnett. She attended Anderson County High School. Kruse is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Nursing.

• Miranda Naylor, of Garnett. She is the daughter of Glenn and Polly Naylor of Garnett. She attended Anderson County High School. Naylor is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Pharmacy.

• Arlo Osler, of Garnett. He is the son of Eileen Poss and Kenneth Osler of Garnett. He attended Anderson County High School. Osler is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Tyler Tush, of Garnett. He is the son of Benjamin and Renee Tush of Garnett. He attended Anderson County High School. Tush is a junior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Pharmacy.

• Caitlin Vaughn, of Garnett. She attended Ottawa High School. Vaughn is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Social Welfare.

• Angela Horsfall, of Lane. She is the daughter of Charles Chrisjohn of Lane. She attended Central Heights High School. Horsfall is a Prof 1 at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Pharmacy.

• Allyson Bittner, of Ottawa. She is the daughter of Kendra and Curt Bittner of Ottawa. She attended Ottawa High School. Bittner is a junior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Eranne Daugharthy, of Ottawa. She attended Olathe East High School. Daugharthy is a Prof 1 at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Pharmacy.

• Hayden Fowler, of Ottawa. He is the son of Lisa Fowler of Ottawa. He attended West Franklin High School. Fowler is a sophomore at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Arts.

• Lindsay Frank, of Ottawa. She is the daughter of Shelly and Kenneth Frank of Ottawa. She attended Ottawa High School. Frank is a junior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Adam Gillaspie, of Ottawa. He is the son of David Gillaspie and Alice Wittman of Ottawa. He attended Ottawa High School. Gillaspie is a sophomore at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Harley Knudsen, of Ottawa. She is the daughter of Terry and Lee Knudsen of Ottawa. She attended Ottawa High School. Knudsen is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Kari Lutz, of Ottawa. She is the daughter of Ann and Rod Lutz of Ottawa. She attended Ottawa High School. Lutz is a junior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Theresa Lydick, of Ottawa. She is the daughter of Kim Lydick of Ottawa. She attended Ottawa High School. Lydick is a freshman at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Deanna Lydick, of Ottawa. She attended Lyndon High School. Lydick is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Carissa McCall, of Ottawa. She is the daughter of Sherry and James Engelbert of Ottawa. She attended Ottawa High School. McCall is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Courtney Otto, of Ottawa. She attended Norton High School. Otto is a Prof 1 at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Pharmacy.

• Dana Peterson, of Ottawa. She is the daughter of Haniel Peterson of Ottawa. She attended Ottawa High School. Peterson is a sophomore at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Seth Polsley, of Ottawa. He is the son of David and Kathryn Polsley of Ottawa. He attended Olathe Christian School. Polsley is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Engineering.

• Robert Retzer, of Ottawa. He is the son of Mark Retzer of Ottawa. He attended Ottawa High School. Retzer is a sophomore at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Alexandra Rogers, of Ottawa. She is the daughter of Joe and Deena Rogers of Ottawa. She attended Ottawa High School. Rogers is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Journalism & Mass Communications.

• Katerina Sieg, of Ottawa. She is the daughter of Keith and Maria Carmelita Sieg of Ottawa. She attended Ottawa High School. Sieg is a junior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Bayley Hartman, of Richmond. She is the daughter of Kelly and James Hartman of Lane, and Debra Kelly Hartman, Richmond. She attended Central Heights High School. Hartman is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

• Lyndsay Scheckel, of Richmond. She is the daughter of Gerald and Leslie Scheckel of Richmond. She attended Central Heights High School. Scheckel is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Nursing.

• Caitlin Scheckel, of Richmond. She is the daughter of Gerald and Leslie Scheckel of Richmond. She attended Central Heights High School. Scheckel is a senior at KU and was named to the honor roll for the School of Education.

• Trudy Rubick, of Williamsburg. She is the daughter of Cindy Rubick of Williamsburg. She attended Waverly High School. Rubick is a sophomore at KU and was named to the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
