Science Olympiad tourney expands experience for six OHS students

The Ottawa High School Science Olympiad team has returned with a good experience from its regional tournament.

Six Ottawa high school students competed Feb. 23 in the 2013 Northeast Kansas Science Olympiad Regional tournament at Johnson County Community College.  Sophomores Brandon Kinn and Spencer Morgan and freshmen Maddie Brister, Caylin Buckley,  Robbie McArdle, and Allie Sanford competed in eight science and technology events.

Team members placed particularly well against very competitive teams in “Write It Do It” and “Experimental Design.”  The young team returned with a strong desire to build on its season’s experience for the 2013-2014 season.
