CHIPPEWA GOOD SAMS

7/19/2013

The Chippewa Good Sams had their June campout at Cedar Ridge campground at Clinton Lake. There were nine rigs and 19 members who enjoyed the weekend and the sunshine. Frank and Carol Weers and Don and Marilyn Hay, former members, visited one afternoon.

The members voted on the camping schedule for 2014. They will be camping at two different campgrounds the next year giving the group a change of venue. A silent auction was held with Jim Hackett being the auctioneer. It was a lot of fun for members with many surprising purchases and a nice supplement to the treasury.

The hosts for the campout were Art and Vera Allan, Jim and Rosemary Hackett, and David and Virginia Martinson. They treated the group with homemade ice cream Saturday evening, which was enjoyed by all.

The July campout will be in the Michigan Valley camp area at Pomona Lake.
