65TH ANNIVERSARY

Robert and Dorothy Cooper, Ottawa, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house reception 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Vintage Park at Ottawa, 2250 S. Elm St.

The couple’s children and grandchildren will play host to the reception.  Their five children are Janice Rodriguez, Ottawa; Diane (and Robert) Burnett, LaCygne; Gary (and Carol) Cooper, Osawatomie; Donna (and David) Brannan, Ottawa, and Russell (and Louise) Cooper, Louisburg. The couple has 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

All friends and family are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.

Robert Cooper and the former Dorothy Carey, Richmond, were married Aug. 24, 1947, at the Ottawa First Baptist Church parsonage. They lived their entire married life in the Richmond community until they moved to Vintage Park in October 2009.
