Students unharmed in bus wreck

HOMEWOOD — No students were injured when a West Franklin school bus collided with a white Chevrolet Cruze driven by an unidentified Franklin County man at about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Haskell and Idaho roads near Homewood.

Another school bus came to transport the remaining students home, according to Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies at the scene.

Another school bus came to transport the remaining students home, according to Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies at the scene.

The driver of the passenger car complained of hand pain, but did not require medical transport from the scene, deputies said. The bus driver was not injured.

Authorities were not releasing the names of the drivers at the scene late Tuesday afternoon.
