Deadline nearing for cost share funds

Franklin County landowners who are interested in participating in the state’s cost share assistance program are encouraged to contact the Franklin County Conservation District office to apply for funds by Feb. 28, the agency said Friday.

Applications from farmers and ranchers are accepted for a variety of soil and water conservation practices, such as terraces, waterways, brush control, septic system upgrades, water well plugging, interior cross fence and pasture/hay land seeding.
