By The Herald Staff | 1/31/2014

TOPEKA — Residents looking for information on the Kansas Legislature but who don’t know who to ask now may call a toll-free legislative hotline.

Candace LeDuc, State Library of Kansas communications coordinator, said Kansas residents may call the (800) 432-3924 hotline, which is provided by the state library, and ask any questions they have about past and current legislation. Residents also may use the instant messaging service at http://www.kslib.info/ask-a-librarian, or send text messages to (785) 256-0733 (standard text message rates apply) to ask questions, or visit the state library on the third floor in the north wing of the State Capitol building in Topeka. The hotline is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
