Child care training offered

The Frontier Extension District No. 11 has planned a two-hour Kansas Department of Health and Environment-approved training for child care providers. The training is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. March 14 in commissioner chambers at the Franklin County Office Annex, 1428 S. Main St., Ottawa.

The training topic is expected to be “Giving Your Best: Making Secure Attachments,” which explains how those who care for young children understand the impact of attachments throughout life and help them develop ideas for building secure attachments with the children in their care, according to a Frontier Extension District No. 11 press release.
