The 200 block of South Main Street, between Second and Third streets, will be closed from 5 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Wednesday to accommodate an Ottawa High School pep rally to celebrate the Cyclones’ 4A boys state basketball title, according to an Ottawa Police Department news release.
The rally, which will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., is open to the public. The event will feature performances by the dance and cheer teams and the OHS band. Players will be available to meet fans and sign autographs. A coach’s radio show also will be broadcast from the rally.
Cars parked in the 200 block of South Main Street might be relocated to accommodate the event, the police department release said. Vehicle owners will not be ticked or charged relocation fees, the release said.
