Police issue silver alert for Edwin D. Gardner

The Ottawa Police Department is attempting to locate Edwin D. Gardner, 88, a white male, born April 27, 1925, height 5-foot-10, weight 180 pounds, balding with thinning white hair, and wearing eyeglasses. Gardner was last seen wearing a black windbreaker, blue shirt and light blue slacks.

Gardner has been missing since about 12:40 p.m. Thursday from the 100 block of South Main Street in Ottawa.

Gardner has been missing since about 12:40 p.m. Thursday from the 100 block of South Main Street in Ottawa.

Gardner’s family reported he is suffering from dementia and might be confused.

His vehicle is a silver 1997 Mercury Sable with Kansas veterans tag 41891 and is reported to be low on gas.

The vehicle was last seen driving southbound on South Main Street.
