Reception planned for former mayor

The public is invited to attend an April 17 reception to honor Gene Ramsey for his two decades of service on the Ottawa City Commission.

Ramsey, who began serving on the commission in 1994, also served five terms as mayor. He did not seek re-election this spring.

The reception is planned for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the city commission chambers at City Hall, 101 S. Hickory St., Ottawa.
