Woman badly injured in wreck

GARDNER — A 40-year-old Ottawa woman was in critical condition after a wreck Thursday in Gardner.

Rebecca Riemer’s Chrysler PT Cruiser was westbound on 167th Street in Gardner when a dump truck heading north bound on Center Street, driven by Brody Roberts, 25, collided with Riemer’s car, Ilena Spalding, an officer with the Gardner Police Department said.

GARDNER — A 40-year-old Ottawa woman was in critical condition after a wreck Thursday in Gardner.

Rebecca Riemer’s Chrysler PT Cruiser was westbound on 167th Street in Gardner when a dump truck heading north bound on Center Street, driven by Brody Roberts, 25, collided with Riemer’s car, Ilena Spalding, an officer with the Gardner Police Department said.

Riemer was in critical condition at the time of the wreck and was taken to a nearby trauma center, Spalding said. Roberts was unharmed.

The wreck remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
