Peoples sets record for 2012

The mortgage loan divisions of Lawrence-based Peoples, Inc. combined for a company record mortgage loan production of more than $3 billion in 2012, which included new purchases and refinanced loans, a Peoples news release said.

Peoples, Inc. is the bank holding company for Peoples Bank, which has a branch in Ottawa, and Peoples Bank-Colorado.

Peoples, Inc. is the bank holding company for Peoples Bank, which has a branch in Ottawa, and Peoples Bank-Colorado.

The company’s total mortgage volume was $3,104,560,832 on 14,010 closed loans.

The record production year is the result of a quality effort by Peoples’ mortgage bankers, mortgage support services and a commitment to customer satisfaction, Phil Hudson, Peoples, Inc. chairman of the board, said.

“We’re proud of our efforts in 2012 and look forward to another great year in 2013,” Hudson said.

Peoples, Inc. offers banking, mortgage and wealth management operations in Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, California, Arizona, Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Utah, the release said.
