Police Department Arrests

• 12:55 a.m. Saturday, 2600 block of I-35 at Ottawa, Kristofer Ray Jackson, 21, Lawrence, on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped for a traffic infraction, according to a police report.

• 3:48 p.m. Saturday, 1100 block of West 17th Street, Levi Sitlington, 18, Ottawa, on suspicion of pedestrian under the influence of alcohol and a minor in consumption of alcohol, according to a police report.

• 3:48 p.m. Saturday, Brandy Wine Liquors, 1605 S. Main St., Levi Sitlington, 18, Ottawa, on suspicion of shoplifting.

• 2:14 a.m. Sunday, 1200 block of East Eighth Street, Renee Decock, 30, Ottawa, on suspicion of disorderly conduct.

• 2:44 a.m. Monday, 2600 block of I-35 at Ottawa, Nicholas Dean Odor, 28, Bonner Springs, on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended driver’s license after being stopped for a traffic infraction, according to a police report.

• 8:07 a.m. Friday, 800 block of Tremont Avenue, a 29-year-old Ottawa woman reported an unknown suspect damaged her vehicle.

• 4:49 p.m. Saturday, 500 block of South Locust Street, police officers responded to a report of an unattended death and found a 57-year-old Ottawa man dead in his residence, according to a police report.

Thefts

• 12:09 p.m. Saturday, Zarco 66, 2518 E. Logan St., a 27-year-old Ottawa woman reported an unknown suspect used counterfeit money to purchase items.

Accidents

• 7:09 a.m. Friday, 2600 block of I-35 at Ottawa, a vehicle driven by Candace Bowman, 45, Garnett, left the roadway and overturned. Bowman refused medical treatment and was cited for unsafe speed for prevailing conditions, according to a police report.

• 1:01 p.m. Saturday, Walmart Supercenter parking lot, 2101 S. Princeton St., Davi Runells, 24, Pomona, reported an unknown suspect’s vehicle struck her legally parked vehicle.

• 2:43 p.m. Saturday, 300 block of South Main Street, Ryan Raley, 27, Ottawa, reported an unknown suspect’s vehicle struck his legally parked vehicle.

• 2:56 p.m. Saturday, 1600 block of South Main Street, a vehicle driven by Patricia Mason, 72, Vassar, struck a vehicle driven by Earl Bartlett, 88, Ottawa. Mason was cited for failing to yield the right of way, according to a police report.

• 8:12 p.m. Saturday, 300 block of South Sycamore Street, a vehicle driven by Michael McCain, 58, Ottawa, backed into a legally parked vehicle. McCain was cited for improper backing, according to a police report.

• 11:49 a.m. Sunday, 2600 block of I-35 at Ottawa, a vehicle driven by Aaron Ochocki, 23, Bedford, Texas, left the roadway and struck a guard rail.

• 12:32 p.m. Sunday, 1015 N. Mulberry St., a vehicle driven by Ambrosio Hernandez, 80, Ottawa, lost control while backing over snow and struck a gas meter. Hernandez was cited for limitations on backing, according to a police report.
