Ottawa woman dies after wreck

A 40-year-old Ottawa woman died Saturday from injuries she received in a car wreck March 13 in Gardner.

Rebecca Riemer’s Chrysler PT Cruiser was westbound on 167th Street in Gardner March 13 when a dump truck heading north bound on Center Street, driven by Brody Roberts, 25, collided with Riemer’s car, Ilena Spalding, an officer with the Gardner Police Department said previously.

Riemer was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center where she was placed into a self-induced coma because of swelling in her brain, according to the Facebook page Prayers of Healing for Becky, set up by Riemer’s sister.
