Police Department Arrests

• 12:48 p.m. Monday, 1700 block of East Logan Street, Jorge Rodriguez, 30, Kansas City, Kan., on suspicion of no driver’s license and no insurance.

• 11:52 p.m. Monday, 2600 block of I-35 at Ottawa, Joseph Daniel Gordon, 32, Wellsville, on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped for a traffic infraction, according to a police report.

• 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, Franklin County Jail, 305 S. Main St., Jacob Terry, 29, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 9:01 p.m. Tuesday, Franklin County Jail, 305 S. Main St., James Ferguson, 21, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

Incidents

• 9:48 a.m. Monday, 600 block of North Main Street, a 33-year-old Lawrence woman reported her 5-year-old son is a child in need of care, according to a police report. The case is under investigation.

Thefts

• 9:49 a.m. Monday, 900 block of South Main Street, a 20-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown suspect opened an account in his name.

• 1:12 p.m. Tuesday, Walmart Supercenter, 2101 S. Princeton St., a 52-year-old Ottawa woman reported a past theft. The case is under investigation.

Accidents

• 9:35 a.m. Monday, 1400 block of South Elm Street, Judd Perry, 36, Ottawa, reported his vehicle was damaged by a snow plow operated by Ray Hamilton, 49, Pomona, according to a police report.

• 1:25 p.m. Monday, 200 block of West 17th Street, Steven Wilcoxson, 54, Pomona, reported an unknown person struck his legally parked vehicle.

• 3:07 p.m. Monday, 1300 block of East Logan Street, Dale Dieterich, 65, Ottawa, and Kyle Foster, 28, Ottawa, reported their vehicles were struck by Cecil Borjas, 49, Ottawa. Borjas was cited for inattentive driving, according to a police report.

• 11:57 a.m. Tuesday, 2500 block of South Princeton Street, a vehicle driven by Rema Menon, 65, Parsons, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes and struck a vehicle driven by Don Grob, 47, Ottawa, as he was turning northbound onto I-35. Menon was cited for inattentive driving and improper driving on a laned roadway, according to a police report.

• 1:19 p.m. Tuesday, 100 block of East 13th Street, a vehicle driven by Dan Dotson, 62, Ottawa, backed into a legally parked vehicle. Dotson was cited for improper backing, according to a police report.

• 2:04 p.m. Tuesday, 500 block of Bennett Road, Corey Schlotzhauer, 26, Ottawa, reported an unknown person struck his parked vehicle.
