Incumbents earn top votes in Pomona election

The three open Pomona City Council seats up for re-election Tuesday will be filled by incumbents.

Dan Keith, Rick Smith and Richard Adler are expected to remain on the council after Tuesday’s vote, according to unofficial election results.

A total of 99 ballots were cast with Dan Keith receiving 69 votes; Richard Adler 50; and Rick Smith 59. Others who filed for election included Billy Lloyd, who received 44 votes; Jerry Slaves 44; and 10 votes for a write-in.

An official canvassing of the election is set for Monday morning at the Franklin County Board of Commissioners’ study session.
