Construction work on K-68 expected to begin Monday near Ottawa.
A pavement and shoulder reconstruction project is expected to begin early next week at the junction of K-68 and I-35, just east of Ottawa, the Kansas Department of Transportation said Wednesday. The project is set to continue east for 1.3 miles and includes adding turning lanes to an existing entrance.
Road work is planned for an early fall completion date, weather permitting, KDOT said, and two-way traffic will be carried through the construction zone.
KDOT awarded the $2.7 million construction contract to Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., Kansas City, Mo.
