IRS to auction vehicles Thursday in Emporia

EMPORIA — The Internal Revenue Service is planning a public auction of trucks, trailers, motorcycles and more items seized for nonpayment of internal revenue taxes.
Items for auction Thursday include Fruehauf and Dorsey trailers, utility and Reefer trailers; Peterbilt, Kenworth and Freightliner Semis; Yamaha and Suzuki motorcycles; TCM Forklift, front loader, Ford F700 and 4000 Industrial Tractor, Chevy Impala, Dodge Ram 3500.
The auction is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Williams Automotive, Inc. 3105 W. Sixth St., Emporia. All items can be previewed 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the auction site. Bidder registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Property will be auctioned together and then as separate lots. The minimum bid for all property is $20,880. Mail-in bids are accepted.

Payments must be by cash, certified check, cashier’s or treasurer’s check or by a United States postal, bank, express, or telegraph money order.
