Ottawa police are searching for a 35-year-old Richmond man who injured an Ottawa woman with a knife Thursday morning.
Police officers responded 9:08 a.m Thursday to a residence in the 100 block of West 10th Street, where a 34-year-old Ottawa woman said a known man had damaged her door, gained entry to her home and injured her with a knife.
“The woman was treated for a laceration on her neck that required stitches,” Capt. Adam Weingartner, with the Ottawa Police Department, said.
Law enforcement officials were continuing to search for the Richmond man Thursday, who fled from the residence before police arrived.
The police department did not release the suspect’s name Friday.
“We know who the suspect is,” Weingartner said.
