OU plans graduation this weekend

Ottawa University’s 149th commencement ceremonies are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Fredrikson Chapel, 1001 S. Cedar St., Ottawa.

Karen Mitchell, professor emeritus at Ottawa University, is set to give the commencement address titled “Hope Has Two Beautiful Daughters.” After Kevin Eichner, OU president, addresses the graduates, Hank Scherich, OU board of trustees president, will confer more than 100 bachelor’s degrees and 14 master’s degrees to the graduates, according to a university news release.
