Jim Tawney Auto Center, 2324 E. Logan St., Ottawa, soon will open its doors at a new location.

Jim Tawney, owner, said the business is relocating Monday to 2141 S. Princeton Road, Ottawa. The car dealership’s move will put it near Century 21 real estate and the now-defunct KFC restaurant.

The new location is a better fit for the business, Tawney said, noting he has sold his current building.

“It’s smaller,” Tawney said of the new location. “We don’t need all the room.”

Central RV, 3190 K-68, Ottawa, announced plans in February to move its dealership to Tawney’s Logan Street building, according to Herald archives. Nick Ford, Central RV owner, said he hoped to have the business open in August.
