Storm damage? Curbside limb cleanup planned Tuesday

Ottawa residents who need a way to dispose of downed limbs from Sunday’s gusty winds are in luck.
Ottawa Public Works Department crews plan to collect limbs from private yards at curbside, beginning Tuesday, according to a city news release.
“Due to other projects that must be completed, crews will make only one complete round of the city, and hopefully have this project completed by [May 31],” Andy Haney, public works director, said. “This will allow property owners and residents a week to clean up their yards. However, we would appreciate your moving limbs to the street as soon as possible.”
To make collection easier, and to limit possible damage to yards, Haney said, residents are urged to stack limbs parallel and close to the street curb.
Collections cannot be made in alleys due to limited space, the release said.
