A hospital administrator from west-central Kansas has been selected to guide Ransom Memorial Hospital.
Matthew Heyn will begin his new duties July 1 as chief executive officer of Ransom, 1301 S. Main St., Ottawa.
The hospital’s board of trustees announced Thursday morning that Heyn had been tapped for the position. Heyn, CEO of Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned, is set to succeed longtime Ransom administrator Larry Felix, who retired at the end of February.
Heyn brings to Ransom leadership and management skills honed in hospitals in Kansas, Colorado and Texas, Phil Gibson, chairman of Ransom’s Board of Trustees, said in a news release.
Heyn plans to move to Ottawa with his wife, Melinda, and their two children, Madison and Leighton, the release said.
