Flags lowered today to honor soldier

Gov. Sam Brownback has ordered flags lowered today to mark the death of a Kansas soldier.

Flags are to be flown at half-staff from sun-up to sun-down today to honor of 2nd Lt. Justin Lee Sisson, who is to be buried today at the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, near his grandfathers.

Sisson, Overland Park, was killed June 3 after his unit was hit by an improvised explosive device while on patrol in Tsamkani, Afghanistan.
