Blood drive set for Wednesday

Summer is time to relax for many, but a local blood drive aims to keep residents’ donations flowing.

A blood drive for the American Red Cross Blood Services is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday at Celebration Hall, 1737 S. Elm St., Ottawa. Those interested in participating can visit redcrossblood.org or call (800)RED CROSS to learn more and make an appointment. Types O-negative, B-negative and A-negative blood are especially needed, organizers said.
