Jonas started in politics producing political advertising for consulting Roger Ailes, president of Fox News, and later served as communications director for Lamar Alexander’s 1996 presidential campaign.

Jonas also has produced television and radio projects for the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee and George H.W. Bush’s 1992 presidential campaign.

Sam Edelen, a former editor and reporter who’s served Republican mayoral and gubernatorial candidates in multiple states, will serve as the campaign’s media liaison.

Aaron Estabrook, of Dodge City, a retired U.S. Army Sergeant and current Manhattan school board member, will head the campaign’s grassroots efforts as field director.

Ashley Walker, a Lenexa native and Kansas Statue University graduate, will serve as the campaign coordinator and volunteer director.

Orman launched his campaign June 2 and needs 5,000 signatures to qualify for the November ballot.
