Limb pickup planned July 21

By The Herald Staff | 7/9/2014

After another large thunderstorm, many tree limbs throughout Ottawa have landed in streets and yards.

City of Ottawa crews are expected to collect limbs from private yards at curb sides beginning July 21. Because of other city projects, crews will only make one complete round through the city, so all limbs should be out by July 21. The pickup is to be completed by July 25.

“This will allow for property owners and residents a week to clean up their yards and cut limbs into manageable 6-foot lengths. Please move any fallen limbs in your yard to curb side [next to the street],” the city said on its Facebook page.
