Man robbed in China Palace lot

A 57-year-old Ottawa man suffered minor injuries when he was robbed late Thursday night in the parking lot of an Ottawa restaurant, Ottawa police said.

Ottawa police officers were called at 10:56 p.m. to China Palace, 901 S. Main St., Ottawa, where a 57-year-old Ottawa man told officers he was leaving the restaurant after it closed when he was robbed in the parking lot, according to a police report.

Ottawa police officers were called at 10:56 p.m. to China Palace, 901 S. Main St., Ottawa, where a 57-year-old Ottawa man told officers he was leaving the restaurant after it closed when he was robbed in the parking lot, according to a police report.

The man suffered minor injuries during the robbery and was transported to Ransom Memorial Hospital, 1301 S. Main St., Ottawa, where he was treated and later released, the report said.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money, an iPad, a brown wallet and a black attache-style bag, according to the report.

The robbery remains under investigation, police said.
