Artifacts taken in library robbery

GARNETT — Someone checked out several items from an Anderson County library — without bothering to use a library card.

Several arrowheads, pictures and CDs were stolen from the Garnett Public Library sometime between 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Monday, Kevin PeKarek, Garnett police chief, said. The arrowheads were part of a display at the library, PeKarek said.

The theft remains under investigation, PeKarek said Monday afternoon.
