Key primary election dates near

With several close Kansas election races expected in the Aug. 5 primary election, the Franklin County Clerk’s Office announced advanced voting opened Monday morning.

Early voting began 8 a.m. Monday and will continue until Aug. 4, Janet Paddock, Franklin County clerk, said Monday. The clerk’s office is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but the office will be open until 7 p.m. July 29 and July 31, as well as open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 2 to accommodate voters.

Advanced ballots also have begun being mailed out, Paddock said. If a registered Franklin County voter wants a ballot mailed to his or her residence, he or she may visit www.fanklincoks.org to fill out an application or call (785) 229-3410.
