Sidewalk ramp work begins

Construction crews were expected to begin working this week on sidewalk ramps throughout Ottawa.

Contractors were set to begin work Monday on the ramps, Bill Ramsey, interim public works director, said, and planned to have the projects completed by Oct. 15. The affected intersections include:

• Ash Street from Second to 10th streets;

• Cedar Street from Eighth to 15th streets;

• Walnut Street from Fifth to Seventh streets;

• Willow Street from Seventh to Ninth streets;

• Wilson Street from Birch to Cedar streets;

• Willow Street from Ninth to 14th streets; and

• N. Cherry Street from Powhattan to Blackhawk streets.
