Another rural crime involving stolen guns has local law enforcement on alert.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and theft between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Vermont Road.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and theft between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Vermont Road.

Some items taken during the burglary include, but are not limited to, a Walther PP .22 handgun, .38 special handgun, Mossberg 12-gauge camo shotgun, Remington 20-gauge shotgun, Bolt action .22 rifle, SKS rifle, and A47 rifle.

Franklin County Crime Stoppers will pay as much as $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of any person or persons committing a crime in Franklin County.
