Central Heights enrollment set

RICHMOND — With summer drawing to a close, it nearly is time for enrollment at Central Heights.

Enrollment for all grade levels is set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Central Heights in the big gym, 3521 Ellis Road, Richmond.

Enrollment for all grade levels is set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Central Heights in the big gym, 3521 Ellis Road, Richmond.

Students participating in sports, grades 7 through 12, need to have a physical form on file, according to the school district. New students need to bring a social security card and birth certificate to enrollment. All preschool students need to bring a social security card, physical form, immunization records and birth certificate.

The first day of school for kindergarten through sixth grade and ninth grade is set for Aug. 21, with classes running 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first full day for all students will be Aug. 22. Elementary students are to be regularly dismissed at 3:22 p.m., with middle and high school students dismissed at 3:25 p.m.

Textbook and technology fees

• The textbook fee for all students is $40.

• The iPad fee for high school students is $15.

Meal prices

• Breakfast for all students is $1.40.

• Elementary school lunch is $2.10.

• Middle school and high school lunch is $2.40.

Applications for free and reduced lunches will be available at enrollment or can be picked up from the district office, 3521 Ellis Road, Richmond, and need to be returned before the start of school.

Bus service

Students and parents need to stop by the transportation table during enrollment to pick up information about who the student’s bus driver is, the bus driver’s contact information and which bus a student will be riding, the district said.
