District OKs school pay increase

WELLSVILLE — The Wellsville school board voted 5-0 to approve a 2-percent pay raise for the district classified staff, the superintendent and retirees who currently receive Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS) during its meeting Monday.

The board also voted 5-0 to accept the food vendor bid from U.S. Foods for $48,797.95. The bid beat out last year’s food vendor, Sysco Corporation, which offerd a bid of $61,170.65.
