‘Pedestrian’ injured in Monday incident jumped from vehicle

A 25-year-old Ottawa man who received a head injury after jumping from a moving vehicle Monday morning was released from an area hospital Tuesday, a person familiar with the family said.

Patrick Olsen was transported by ambulance to Overland Park Regional Medical Center after he reportedly exited a moving vehicle being driven by Jessica Brockus, 29, Ottawa, about 9:40 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of South Hickory Street, Ottawa, according to Ottawa police. The incident remains under investigation.
