Confusion after a pharmacy delivery car went missing Thursday afternoon led Ottawa police on a frenzied search for a car initially reported as stolen.
Shannon Milburn, 30, Spring Hill, initially reported the black Kramer Pharmacy delivery car stolen at about 4 p.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of South Cedar Street.
The vehicle apparently had been left in neutral, according to a police report, and rolled south though the 1500 block of Cedar street and into the 1600 block before coming to rest in a ditch at the road’s end.
After the car was reported stolen, police searched for the car, which was said to have contained medications, for nearly an hour before it was discovered at about 4:50 p.m. Thursday.
A tow truck was reportedly called to the scene about 5:30 p.m. Thursday to remove the car from the brush.
