Body identified in Osage County

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office has identified a 20-year-old man who was found dead in the roadway of U.S. 56, about a half mile west of Paulen Road, the sheriff’s office announced in a news release Monday.

Timothy J. Kemble, Carbondale, was found dead in the roadway after the Osage County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 5:03 a.m. Sunday in regards to a while man walking on U.S. 56 near Paulen Road. At 5:06 a.m. another 911 call reported a body in the road at the same location.

Timothy J. Kemble, Carbondale, was found dead in the roadway after the Osage County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 5:03 a.m. Sunday in regards to a while man walking on U.S. 56 near Paulen Road. At 5:06 a.m. another 911 call reported a body in the road at the same location.

Upon arrival to the scene, Kemble’s body was found and he was later pronounced dead. The cause of death has not been determined.

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office asked The Kansas Highway Patrol for assistance in the investigation, but the sheriff’s office has taken over the investigation, according to the news release. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.

Osage County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone who was traveling in the area around 5 a.m. Sunday and anyone who spoke with Kemble prior to 5 a.m. Sunday to contact the office at (785) 828-3121 or 1-877-OSCRIME.
