Luncheon to focus on Affordable Care Act’s impact businesses

With the implementation date of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act looming, another deadline also is on the horizon.

Those wanting to learn more about the health care reform legislation, also known as Obamacare, have until Monday to register for a special Lunch N’ Learn education event presented by the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce and Franklin County Development Council.

Those wanting to learn more about the health care reform legislation, also known as Obamacare, have until Monday to register for a special Lunch N’ Learn education event presented by the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce and Franklin County Development Council.

The 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 7 luncheon is expected to provide information about the new law to businesses, specifically regarding required changes to providing healthcare to employees. Dr. Roberta Riportella, Kansas Health Foundation Professor of Community Health at Kansas State University, is set to lead the informational session.

A registration fee is required, and lunch is included. Space is limited.
