Ottawa University has been recognized as being among the top 20 percent of U.S. colleges, universities and trade schools in terms of ease of transition for military personnel turning to civilian life.

“Inclusion on the 2014 list of Military Friendly Schools shows Ottawa University’s commitment to providing a supportive environment for military students,” Sean Collins, vice president at Victory Media, which awards the distinction, said. “The need for education is growing, and our mission is to provide the military community with transparent, world-class resources to assist in their search for schools.”

Collins said OU, 1001 S. Cedar St., is among those “doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.”
