Law enforcement officers are looking for a man who exposed himself to a teenage girl and fled on foot Sunday evening on Ottawa’s south side, according to an Ottawa Police Department news release.
A 16-year-old girl reported an unidentified white man exposed himself to her about 6:25 p.m. while she was walking in the 900 block of South Willow Street, police said. The suspect then ran west on West Ninth Street, the news release said.
Responding officers found no sign of the man, who was described to be 5-feet-8-inches to 6-feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was thought to be between 40 and 50 years old. He was wearing a dark colored ball cap, faded blue t-shirt with faded letters on the front, gray shorts that hung slightly below the knee and white tennis shoes, according to the news release.
Anyone who was in the area or might have seen someone matching the description should call the Ottawa Police Department at (785) 242-1700 or Franklin County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-311-8477.
