Fire damages Ottawa home

A fire that broke out Tuesday morning in the living room of an Ottawa home caused an estimated $30,000 damage to the structure and contents.

Ottawa firefighters responded to the blaze about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday at 731 S. Oak St. No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries, Jeff Carner, Ottawa fire chief, said.

The cause of the fire still is under investigation, Carner said Tuesday.
