Woman killed in mule incident identified

LYNDON — A woman who was killed when she was thrown from a mule Sunday in Osage County has been identified as Faye Ann Dye, 57, Kinsley, Kan., according to the Osage County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office released Dye’s identity Thursday, following notification of next of kin.
Two people were riding mules about 6 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of K-68 when one of the mules became spooked by a loud vehicle and bucked off Dye, according to a sheriff’s office news release. Dye was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.
