LYNDON — Officials in a nearby community are on alert after a “hybrid wolf” was seen in the area.
The Osage County Sheriff’s Office issued a public advisory Friday after a wolf, thought to be a hybrid, apparently was seen Sunday north of Osage City, near U.S. 56. It was unknown whether the creature was aggressive, Laurie Dunn, Osage County sheriff, said, though residents were urged to be cautious if they came into contact with the animal.
Individuals who see the wolf are encouraged to call the Osage County Sheriff’s Office at 911 or (785) 828-3121.
