• 2:52 p.m. Wednesday, Franklin County Jail, 305 S. Main St., Philip Guyle Jr., 20, Pomona, on suspicion of failing to comply with probation.

• 10:43 p.m. Thursday, Franklin County Jail, 305 S. Main St., Joshua Kauffman, 32, Greeley, on a Franklin County warrant.

• 8:59 p.m. Wednesday, Ottawa Police Department, 715 W. Second St., Russell Bliss, 29, Lawrence, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 9:17 p.m. Wednesday, 400 block of East Grant Street, Jonathan Martin, 29, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, 1100 block of North Mulberry Street, Tonya Montoya, 42, Ottawa, on suspicion of battering a 44-year-old Ottawa woman.

• 1:15 a.m. Thursday, 400 block of South Walnut Street, Zachary Malburg, 19, Ottawa, on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and underage possession of alcohol after the vehicle he was driving was stopped for a traffic violation. Steven Vitner, 19, Ottawa, a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, according to a police report.

• 1:59 a.m. Thursday, Ottawa Police Department, 715 W. Second St., Jason Thompson, 24, Pomona, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 10:29 a.m. Thursday, 800 block of North Cleveland Street, Colton Sobba, 20, on two Franklin County warrants, and Joel Sobba, 28, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant.

• 5:43 p.m. Thursday, Ottawa University, 1001 S. Cedar St., a 38-year-old Ottawa man reported an unknown vehicle struck his legally parked vehicle and left the scene. Steven Staneslow, 23, Ottawa, later was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene and failure to report.

• 12:04 a.m. Friday, 2200 block of South Princeton Street, Krista Bonzo, 19, Topeka, and Margie Barker, 20, Ottawa, on suspicion of possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Incidents

• 12:06 p.m. Wednesday, Osborne Lane and West Wilson Street, a 45-year-old Ottawa man reported he was battered by a known 26-year-old Ottawa man after confronting him about littering in the 2400 block of Osborne Terrace.

• 1:06 p.m. Wednesday, 4151 Rock Creek Road, a sheriff’s deputy responded to a barn fire. The barn was completely engulfed by flames. Estimated loss was unknown.

Thefts

• 9:52 a.m. Thursday, 200 block of East Sixth Street, Pomona, a 67-year-old Pomona man reported several items had been taken from his property in the past year. Estimated loss was $940.

• 12:03 p.m. Thursday, 3700 block of Georgia Terrace, a 56-year-old Pomona woman reported an unknown suspect stole guns and electronic equipment from her home. Estimated loss was $1,615.

Accidents

• 4:16 p.m. Wednesday, 21st and Princeton streets, a vehicle driven by Mark Scott, 26, Ottawa, struck a vehicle driven by Paige Peterson, 18, Ottawa. Scott was cited with disobeying a traffic signal.

Wellsville Police Department News

• Tuesday: 400 block of Main Street, animal complaint; 300 block of West Seventh Street, suspicious activity.

• Wednesday: No activity to report.

• Thursday: 700 block of Main Street, public assist; 200 block of Downey Drive, public assist.

Fire Calls

Ottawa Fire Department

• 5:26 p.m. Wednesday, 925 W. Seventh St., smoke detector activation. No fire reported.

• 9:32 p.m. Thursday, 1400 block of Pin Oak Circle, invalid assist.

• Firefighters assisted with five medical calls Wednesday and Thursday.
